THERAPY WITH HOPE
In our prior 9 pages on HCRH, we have looked at material about cancer that is pretty heavy and serious. For that reason, I wanted to add this special section to give you some joy and a chance to smile and relax.
Our Kitty Hopie has been invaluable in my husband’s recovery from Prostate cancer and in my journey with Pancreatic cancer. There is something magical about our pet children’s unconditional love for us and the exchange of oxytocin when we touch each other that defies description and must be felt with the heart. They sense our illness and challenges, they want to help us, they pick us up on the darkest days.
I will share links to some of the many ways he comforts and heals us – with the hope that he will also comfort and bless you.
Kick back and enjoy our boy!
This is a photo of Hope and me driving home from Santa Fe last summer. We are at a rest stop on the New Mexico/Arizona border, with the beautiful red rocks.
I pack my own fresh, nutritious food for the entire trip and we take little rests when we are tired. He rides on my lap the entire 2 day drive and loves going in the car. As I have said before, he was raised by our Australian Shepherd, Brutie Boy, who taught him to love the long trips.
We are blessed to have him! I carry him in the little “saddle bag” when we stop to visit with our friends at the Navajo trading posts in Gallup.
